Careers at LambdaFully remote · across Canada

Small team. Deep work. Long tenures. Real customers.

Lambda is a fully-remote Canadian SaaS company of under 25 people. Most of our team has been with us for five, ten, or fifteen years.

We hire rarely and deliberately, and when we do, we’re looking for people who want to build long-term expertise in one field — learning technology for organizations where training actually matters — rather than optimize for the fastest possible career trajectory.

If that sounds like the wrong fit, it probably is. If it sounds like the right fit, keep reading.

01 · The realityThe company we are

What working at Lambda is actually like.

The work is technical and customer-facing. Engineers talk to customers. Implementers make architectural decisions. Support engineers own real problems end to end. There are no rooms full of people executing someone else’s plan.

The pace is deliberate. Lambda doesn’t ship for the sake of shipping. Decisions get made carefully, because the customers running critical training programs on the platform can’t tolerate breakage.

The team is remote across Canada, with occasional in-person gatherings. Communication is asynchronous, thoughtful, and written. If you do your best work in a fast-moving open-office environment, Lambda is not that.

Growth here looks like depth, not ladder-climbing. Roles expand horizontally; people take on more of the product or more of the customer base as they go. There isn’t a promotion track to a VP title in three years — there’s the chance to become one of the people who genuinely knows this field.

02 · The filterRead this honestly

Who thrives at Lambda — and who doesn’t.

The point of this section is to help you self-select. We mean both lists.

People who thrive here

  • Have deep expertise in one thing and want to go deeper
  • Prefer written communication and asynchronous work
  • Want to talk to customers directly and often
  • Are comfortable owning a problem end to end
  • Value stability, long-term relationships, and getting things right
  • Have five, ten, or twenty years of experience in their field

People who probably won’t

  • Want to work at a fast-growing, high-headcount company
  • Prefer to specialize narrowly with clean handoffs to other teams
  • Want a defined promotion path with title changes every 18 months
  • Do their best work in high-energy in-person environments
  • Are early in their career and looking for structured mentorship at scale
03 · The processShort and human

How Lambda hires.

We hire rarely, and when we do, the process is deliberate. Every open role is listed below. If we don’t have a role listed that fits you, we’d still like to hear from you — we keep a small pipeline of people we’ve talked to for when the right role opens.

Our process is short and human: a first conversation with someone senior, a working session that reflects the actual job, and a final round with the leadership team. We don’t do trick questions, whiteboard puzzles, or panels of ten. If we’re going to work together for five or ten years, we’d rather spend that time getting to know each other than testing you.

04 · Open rolesHonest status

We’re not currently hiring — but we’re still listening.

We keep a pipeline of people we’ve talked to for when the right role opens. If Lambda sounds like the kind of place you’d want to work — and if the sections above describe you — we’d like to hear from you.

Tell us who you are, what you do, and what you’d want to work on. We read every note, and we’ll be in touch when a role opens that fits.
