A traveler starts Monday. Verification cannot take until Thursday
Contingent staff get the requirements their assignment carries, verified before the first shift and tracked against an end date, on the same record as permanent staff.
Contingent staff arrive faster than anyone can enrol them
Verification for short assignments is done by email and attachment, under time pressure, by whoever is available.
Short assignments
A thirteen-week contract cannot absorb a two-week onboarding queue, so verification happens after the first shift or does not happen at all.
Requirements that differ
What a float nurse needs on a critical care unit is not what the same nurse needs on a medical floor, and that difference lives in a coordinator’s head rather than in the system.
Documents held elsewhere
The agency holds the certificates, the unit holds the schedule and the organization holds the obligation. None of the three shares a record.
The contract says qualified. Your record says nothing
An agency attestation is a statement about a person made by someone else. It is not evidence you hold, it is not dated in your system, and it is not what a surveyor asks to see when they ask who was covering the unit.
The exposure sits with the organization, and it grows with every assignment that starts before the record catches up.
Verification as a gate, not a follow-up task
The assignment defines the requirement, and the requirement has to be satisfied before the assignment counts as ready.
Requirements by assignment
Unit, role and assignment dates determine what is required, so a float nurse moving between units is assessed against each unit rather than against one generic list.
Prior credit recognised
Evidence already held or already completed satisfies the requirement instead of triggering a repeat, which is what makes a short onboarding window realistic.
Expiry inside the window
A credential expiring mid-assignment is flagged against the assignment end date, not discovered when the renewal lapses.
One record across agencies
A clinician who returns on a second contract, through a different agency, resolves to the same record and the same history.
One record, whoever employs them

Bring one agency contract. We will map its requirements on screen
Bring a live contract and the units it covers. We will configure the assignment requirements against it and show what a ready-to-work check looks like before the first shift.
